What does it mean to be queen? To be royal? Many people believe that being a pageant queen is all about the glamour and the fame. While that may be a fun part of being queen it's not the entire purpose of the crown. Similar to that of monarchies pageant queens are figure heads that are about the business of public service and charity. Once you win a title, you have the honor of representing something bigger than yourself. So then, the question is, HOW will you represent it? What will you do?
I believe that in life, we can't just talk about doing good and loving others, we have to be it. We must emulate those values. I feel that when we go about our lives, honoring the value and worth of others, we are able to unleash the beauty in every person.
So, being Queen is important huh? I find that when important people spend their lives reminding others that they are JUST AS IMPORTANT, we allow them the ability to be who they truly are....they begin to embrace the fact that they are special, loved, important, worthy, beautiful, cherished, interesting, valued...and so much more.
Now, I'm not comparing the Our Little Miss Organization to God, but everything I've said is quite similar to how this: once we put our faith in Christ, He adopts us into His royal family. We each wear a God given crown. We then represent someONE bigger than ourselves. We must also choose HOW we will represent Him. We can't just talk about how good and loving Christ is, we emulate His character. He called us to serve one another.
In the history of all those in a position of power, fame and glamour almost always followed them. The greatestof these leaders were humble and took that power to gi ve it to empower others.
I've said all this to make this point: I have been blessed to be crowned the 2015 OLM World's Universal Girl. I have the honor of representing the Our Little Miss Organization, Family, and Legacy. I am so excited to do this by taking the "power" I have been bestowed through this prestigious title to empower others. I can't wait to take you on this adventure with me.
